My 12 Favorite Beauty Products of 2017

Alright y'all this isn't some paid sponsorship this is for real my favorite beauty products of the past year that I couldn't be happier to kiss goodbye! I did one of these a few year ago and it was a hit plus I always like sharing what I'm in to with the world, so here we go! Enjoy!

It smells like fresh jasmine flowers from India, this formula works great with my body and it is sensitive enough for my skin that hates everything! It's so hard to find a deodorant that works that is natural, but this stuff does the job.

The bottle says citrus, incense and vanilla and that's exactly what is smells like. It's like an earthy sweet scent plus is comes with an aura quartz crystal inside :)

I must say I was very skeptical about this product. I saw it all over Instagram and I loved the way they had branded themselves but I hadn't met anyone who'd actually used it. It was not till one of my clients with blonde hair (hardest hair color to get the brows to match) said she loved it so I went home and bought it that same day. I have't touched my Anastasia Brow Gel since...this Boy Brow is the best!

I love basically anything with activated charcoal, if you don't know why you should google why this stuff is amazing. I've been using activated charcoal powder to whiten my teeth for years and finally they are actually putting it in toothpaste! It saves me the mess of black powder all over my sink.

I use dry shampoo every single day...mainly because I wash my hair once a week. This stuff sucks up all my oils and doesn't leave my hair feeling "producty" or white. It looks, feels and smells clean and fresh!

Supposedly this oil is suppose to support your crown chakra blah, blah, blah I still don't know how I feel about all that and am still debating if it's just pseudoscience. But regardless the smell is sooooo good, it has notes of amber and frankincense.

Since I've moved back to Colorado from LA I've become a raisin. My skin is so dry and parched, sadly I didn't discover this stuff till almost a year later, but I'm glad I finally did. The Koreans know what they are doing when it comes to skincare!

All I can say is it helps with my fine lines and my sensitive skin loves it, so I'm a happy camper!

Since I've gotten this eyeshadow I have not worn anything else since! It makes my blue eyes pop and it has a mix of nudes to red-ish browns, some matte and some with sparkle. Every time I open the palette it smells like cocoa powder

Never have I been more obsessed with any dry texture spray till now. It holds my curl, gives me shine, all the texture for that "lived in look" and the smell is boujee...in a good way :)
P.S. I use this in the salon, all my clients love it

This guy you can only get in a salon that does Olaplex treatments and you'd only use this if you had gotten an Olaplex treatment. I use Olaplex in all my color services in the salon because this stuff is basically liquid gold. It heals the hair and makes the hair so shiny and strong like it was when you were a kid. If you haven't heard of this treatment I highly recommend asking your stylist about it, you can even get a treatment even if your hair isn't colored.  I love it and all my clients love it!

This moisturizer keeps my raisiny skin hydrated during the nasty Colorado winter months.
This moisturizer is like the milk and honey from the bible...heavenly.

Viva Las Vegas

A lot is going on in the world right now. One thing after the next, war, refugees dying from trying to seek a better life, so many natural disasters and yet again another mass shooting. I can't imagine what these people are going through and I often wonder why am I where I am, why didn't these things happen to me? My heart has been hurting these past few weeks of all that has gone on around the world and hurts all the more knowing that they're are people inflicting pain upon other people for whatever reason it doesn't matter, it's just pure evil. I've seen so many injustices throughout the world and read about it daily and I just discover more and more how critical it is that we as humanity need a savior. A total revelation that us as individuals are not perfect, that we as people aren't perfect and that the only thing that can change our hearts is the unconditional love of Jesus.

I am not left out of this and I need the grace of God everyday. I just pray that this world experiences the love and healing power of God in such a tangible way that it changes us as humanity, to walk into who we were created to be, that broken hearts are healed, that dead souls are brought back to life, that we would prefer and love other people first, that we would seek to lay our selfish desires aside, that we would seek to understand one another and give grace, empathy and compassion to the people who we may feel do not deserve it. I lift up all those effected by the loss of those in Vegas this week, that they have community surround them, love them and comfort them in this terrible time, amen.

Michael and I took these photos on our way to LA, we stopped just outside of Las Vegas to see this art installation in the middle of nowhere desert. I was driving like a bat out of hell as we were chasing the sunset and trying to beat the storm that was rolling in. Looking at theses photos now I loved how they turned out with the polarity of light and dark. With the darkness of the storm blowing in it made these crazy bright colored rocks stand out all the more.

Thanks for stopping by guys

This Whole Blogging Thing...

I've got so much content to put on a blog (photos that is) but I feel like I have no words. Maybe I've had writers block for my whole life. I just feel like I'm not a writer, now my little sister on the other hand I think she took all that gene 'cause I didn't get a lick of it. I feel like I have opinions, thoughts and feelings others can relate to or benefit from and I don't think that what I have to say is invalid, it's just when it comes to sit down and write on a blog it's like I just go brain dead. All my thoughts seem to just blow by like clouds in my mind, maybe it's time I get a handy dandy notepad for my thoughts (you like my Blue's Clues reference?).
With all this being said my point is that I'm not the best with words and I always feel like I need to have a special little nugget to share with people, but a lot of the time I don't haha so I'm just going to post an "outfit of the week" regardless if I have a nugget to share. Lets be real fashion can be just as inspiring, so I'm gonna stick to what I'm good at. How does that sound? Good? Okay, I can't hear you so I'm gonna do what I want.
Thanks for following guys

Heaven On A Harley

Earlier this summer I decided to take action to fulfill a childhood dream. One that was highly frowned up by family and friends (and I understand why), but it's something I've always dreamed about and wanted before I ever decided to have children (also...no I'm not pregnant). You've probably figured out by now that this dream I had was to own my very own motorcycle! And it's crazy I've actually done it. It surprisingly came very naturally to me, I think only because my first car was a stick shift. But none the less it was still scary. Scary because of other drivers, scary 'cause I've never done this before, it was just scary. I thought a few times "OMG, should I have done this?" and it was intimidating to move into a culture that seems to be so male dominated. But I wasn't and never will let the fear of the unknown dictate my future. I have never lived that way, so I wasn't going to let fear creep in now! And after months passing I've become more comfortable riding and I have the feeling of freedom found on a bike that I've always dreamed of. I have this space with the bike, the road and wind where I'm by myself letting go of a stress-filled day and just riding.
It's place I've found where I can just BE. It's become this sanctuary where I process, talk and dream and dream bigger world changing dreams with God. So I guess you could say I've found a little piece of Heaven on my Harley. :)

Enchanted

This sheer top from Zara has got me feeling all sorts of enchanted! It subtly shows the body in an interesting way that one wouldn't expect; and the color and placement of the embroidered flowers gives the perfect feminine touch. I love that this year has been full of embroidered details, it looks good on basically everything!
I've got embroidery on my Gucci loafers (they are proper grandma slippers for sure👌🏽) and my husband even has it on his shirts, beanies and his slip-ons. My mum asked if he was trying to be like me...I'd say maybe a little bit!

The Little Pink Dog

In honor of Junie B.'s 16th birthday (April 28th) my little sisters and I decided to give Junie a fresh new-do by giving her a beet juice bath. Yes that little dog below is 16 believe it or not, so that makes her old af...haha 112 in dog years!
She's the furry little sister we used to dress up and walk around the neighborhood in a stroller, have dance parties with, swaddle in blankets, our little cuddle buddy and we'd have to clean up her poop when she got into a tin of Hersey kisses from Valentines day.
I can't imagine life without her. I still remember picking her up from the breeder and thinking she was the cutest one because she was the runt of the litter and had unique little spots of apricot on her ears and back. Now that she is pastel pink I'm even more in love with her and I think it put a little pep in her step! Haha who really knows if she is aware she is pink, all I know is she seems to be acting more like her old puppy self again!

Cheers to another year little Junie B.
I love you!
